How Is It Used

Marijuana is used in different ways. The mostly used method is smoking loose marijuana rolled into a cigarette and called a “joint” or “nail.” Another method is to slice open a cigar and replace the internal tobacco with marijuana, making what's called a blunt. One different method is marijuana is smoked through a water pipe called a “bong.” Others smoke “blunts”—cigars hollowed out and filled with the drug. And some users brew it as tea or mix it with food.

Short-Term Effects

Mostly people feels good when they smoke marijuana. With in few minutes of inhaling smoker or marijuana user begins to feel pleasant, cool and happy. THC triggers brain cells to release the chemical dopamine. Dopamine creates good feelings—for a short time.

This can be caused by the use of smoking marijuana. And this is just one of its negative effect. It affects memory, judgment, and perception. Under the influence of marijuana, you could fail to remember things you just learned, watch your grade point average drop, or crash a car.

It is not possible to know the effects of marijuana on a specific person at a given time.Because its effects vary based on individual factors: a person’s genetics, whether they’ve used marijuana or any other drugs before, how much marijuana is taken, and its potency. Marijuana's effects can also be worst when it is used in combination with other drugs.

Marijuana Use increases heart rate. After using Marijuana heart beats increases then normal person.It can increase heart beat, the bronchial passages relax and become enlarged, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red. The heart rate, normally 70 to 80 beats per minute, may increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute or, in some cases, even double. This effect can be greater if other drugs are taken with marijuana.

It has been cultivated in different regions of the world throughout centuries for its fiber to produce linen, rope, canvas, and oil. It has also been used as a medicine to relieve symptoms of illness and as a euphoric to induce states of intoxication or elation. Throughout its long history, parts of the plants have been smoked, eaten, chewed, or brewed for its pharmacological effects on human biochemistry.

There are over 400 substances in cannabis. By the mid-1960s the major psychoactive substance was recognized as tetrahydrocannabinol, known as THC. Since then, other psychoactive substances have been separated from the place and are being researched for their biochemical results.

In India it is called ghanja, dagga in South Africa, and Kef in Morocco. The potency of the psychoactive cannabinoids found in a marijuana plant varies depending on the locale from which the plant was derived and its genetic makeup.

Ganja :  Ganja is another name for marijuana. The word is ofter times associated with the west indies, but the truth is that it originated in India.

ORIGIN : The word Ganja actually comes from the word Ganges, referring to the Ganges River, which is a river in India where Cannabis Indica grew naturally. Cannabis indica was brought to the west indies, and is therefore referred to as Ganga.
